Almont Township. Almont was first settled in 1828 by James Deneen. It received a post office in 1835 named Bristol, for Oliver Bristol, the second permanent settler. The village was platted as Newburg in 1836, and renamed Almont in 1846.

Imlay City is a town in Lapeer County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,869 at the 2000 census and 3,597 in 2010. Imlay City was founded on April 1, 1850 by Charles Palmer, the chief engineer of the Port Huron and Lake Michigan Railroad, who bought 240 acres of land along the railroad's route at a location Palmer anticipated would be a likely produce center between the towns of Capac and Lapeer. Palmer named the city for the Connecticut-based capitalist William H. Imlay, who had invested heavily in the region after moving there in 1828. Within a year and a half, the newly established city had attracted 500 residents with over 120 buildings including two hotels, 20 stores, a sawmill, and a school.

Lapeer is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and is the county seat of Lapeer County. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 8,841. Most of the city was incorporated from land that was formerly in Lapeer Township, though portions were also annexed from Mayfield Township and Elba Township. The city government is politically independent of all three townships. Lapeer is in southern Michigan, east of Flint, on the Flint River. The name "Lapeer" is a corruption of the French la pierre, which means "the rock", a reference to flint.

Armada is a village in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,730 at the 2010 census. The 2008 Census Bureau Estimate places the population at 1,657. The village is located within Armada Township.

Chesterfield Township originated as a general law township in 1842 and was officially a charter township in 1989. Chesterfield was first settled in 1830 and began to build business' in the area after 1865 when the Grand Trunk Railroad came through. As of the 2010 Census, Chesterfield had a population of 43,381 people. The township has a total area of 30.7 square miles of which roughly 9% is water. There are plenty of parks and museums to visit in Chesterfield including Lake Tranquility along with Brandenburg, New Baltimore, Ira Township and Waldenburg Parks. There is also the Selfridge Military Air Museum along with Stahl's Automotive Foundation and the Chesterfield Historical Society of Michigan. Macomb Township is a general law township and northern suburb of Detroit located in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan, in the Metropolitan Detroit region. Memphis is a city on the line between Macomb and St. Clair counties in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,183 at the 2010 census. The area of Memphis was first settled by members of the Wells family from Albany, with Anthony Wells residing in the area from 1834 and James Wells from 1835. The fledgling community was originally called Wells Settlement with the name "Memphis" first being applied in 1848 with the local postal outlet opening that 8 December as Memphis Post Office, "Memphis" being chosen due to the community's location of a bluff overlooking a river paralleling the location of ancient Memphis "the City on the Nile". Memphis would be incorporated as a village 4 April 1865 with status as a city granted in 1953.

New Haven is a village in Lenox Township, Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 4,642 at the 2010 census. The 2008 Census Bureau Estimate places the population at 5,132. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.53 square miles, all land, with the exception of the Salt River running through parts of the village.

Most of the city is located in Macomb County, though there is a small portion in St. Clair County. The city is adjacent to Richmond Township and Lenox Township in Macomb County, although it is administratively autonomous. Romeo is a village in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,596 at the 2010 census. The village is situated at the southeast corner of Bruce Township, with a portion extending south into Washington Township. Armada Township is adjacent to the east and Ray Township to the southeast. Romeo is located on the rural-urban fringe of the Detroit metropolitan area, and many of its residents commute to jobs closer to the city.

Royal Oak is a suburb of Detroit in Oakland County in the state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 57,236 people. The city originally became a village in 1891 and in 1921 it became a city. It's main downtown district has a wide variety of restaurants, shopping and entertainment. East China Township is a charter township of St. Clair County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,630 at the 2000 census. The township was named after China Township, Michigan. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 7.8 square miles, of which 6.7 square miles is land and 1.1 square miles is water.

Capac is a village in Mussey Township, St. Clair County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,890 at the 2010 census. Capac was founded and platted by a group of men from Romeo headed by George R. Funstan and Judge DeWitt C. Walker in 1857. The judge named it after Huayna Capac, Sapa Inca of the Inca Empire. A nearby post office named "Pinery" was transferred to and renamed "Capac" in January 1858. The Grand Trunk Railroad opened a station in 1866. Capac incorporated as a village in 1873.

Fort Gratiot was an American stockade fort in Fort Gratiot, Michigan, in Saint Clair County, Michigan. The former location of the fort was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The Army constructed Fort Gratiot in 1814 as an outpost to guard the juncture of the Saint Clair River and Lake Huron. The fort took the name of the engineer supervising its construction, Charles Gratiot. Soldiers occupied Fort Gratiot until 1822 and then abandoned the fort. Lucius Lyon built Fort Gratiot Light north of Fort Gratiot in 1825-1829.
